Hollywood Records On Wikipedia
The label has been criticised for showing favoritism towards their younger artists while giving less promotion to their more mature acts such as Hilary Duff who faced legal battles with the label early 2008. It has been reported that Duff will be leaving the label within the next year.

As of July 2008, Duff is working on her fourth studio album and will release a single "Reach Out", which samples Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus".However plans of beginning a new album were postponed several times in 2008 due to legal battles with Duff's record label Hollywood Records. Since, it has been reported that Duff will be leaving the label to search out a label who will direct her at a more mature audience.
